Dr. Christopher M. Larson is a nationally and internationally recognized, board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon based in the Minneapolis area who specializes in advanced hip preservation, hip arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, proximal hamstring repair, and the treatment of complex sports injuries. He practices with Twin Cities Orthopedics and serves as Head Team Physician for the Minnesota Vikings, with extensive experience caring for collegiate and professional athletes across the NFL, NHL, NBA, and other elite sports organizations. He was awarded NFL Team Physician of the Year for 2025 and is also a member of the prestigious Hip Society and Herodicus Society. Dr. Larson earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina, and completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications, frequently lectures internationally on sports medicine and hip preservation, and has been consistently recognized as a "Top Doctor" by Minneapolis–St. Paul Magazine, Minnesota Monthly, and US News and World Report.
