Dr. Michael B. Millis is an internationally recognized pediatric orthopedic surgeon, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Founding Director of the Child and Young Adult Hip Preservation Program at Boston Children's Hospital. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he has become an international authority on pediatric and adolescent hip disorders, specializing in hip dysplasia, slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE), Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, femoral deformities, and complex hip preservation surgery. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Millis completed his orthopedic training through the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program and advanced fellowship training in reconstructive lower extremity surgery in Germany. He has authored hundreds of scientific publications, helped advance modern hip preservation techniques, and is widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to pediatric orthopedic surgery, education, and research.
