Dr. David A. Podeszwa is a nationally recognized pediatric orthopedic surgeon and Clinical Director of the Center for Excellence in Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, TX, where he has devoted his career to advancing the care of children with complex orthopedic conditions. He is also a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Podeszwa specializes in pediatric hip reconstruction, adolescent hip preservation, limb lengthening and reconstruction. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency through Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at Scottish Rite for Children. He also completed an AO/ASIF International Fellowship in hip preservation with Reinhold Ganz in Bern, Switzerland. An accomplished educator and researcher, Dr. Podeszwa has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and is widely recognized for his leadership, innovation, and commitment to improving pediatric orthopedic care through clinical excellence, research, and education.
