Etienne L. Belzile, MD

Dr. Étienne Belzile is a Quebec-based orthopedic surgeon, clinician-scientist, and full professor in the Department of Surgery at Université Laval. He specializes in hip and knee reconstruction, hip preservation surgery, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. After earning a degree in neurobiology from Cornell University and his medical degree from McGill University, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Université Laval, followed by advanced fellowships in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the University of Virginia and pelvic reconstruction surgery at Harvard University's Boston Children's Hospital. Based at the CHU de Québec–Université Laval, Dr. Belzile combines a busy surgical practice with clinical research focused on hip preservation, joint replacement, biomechanics, and improving outcomes for patients with orthopedic conditions.
